Daddy’s Ball 老爹舞会

     老爹又回来了！

    “老爹”系列演出曾经在上海举办过两次。我们旨在用所谓的“父辈摇滚”——从朋克到放克，由Blast Beat或是Swing——让年轻漂亮的身躯释放出由复杂的城市带来的繁重，在经典却绝不过时的节奏中挥洒香汗。暂时放下沉重枯燥的日常。“KPI”，贷款，和那个TA之间的矛盾，因为梦想遥不可及而产生的无力感等等都将在“老爹”系列演出之中被抛之脑后。摇摆永远陪伴着自己的那具躯体，唯一可确信不会背叛自己的那具躯体。将最本真的、最无忧无虑的自我倾泻而出。

Daddy is coming back again!

     The Daddy series of shows occurred twice in Shanghai. We are keeping “Dad Rock” alive——from punk to funk, through   blast beat to swing—— let young and beautiful bodies release the onerousness feelings brought by this complicated city. We spread some sweet sweat to the rhythms which are classic—— and definitely not out-of-date. Put down your heavy and insipid daily stress temporally. “KPI”, credit, a conflict with your partner, the helpless feeling caused by dreams you cannot reach, etc.… are all going to be left behind by you during this “Daddy” series show. Swing your body, the thing that will always stay with you: that’s the only thing you can be 100% sure that would always be loyal and would never betray you. Let the most original and most carefree side of you out.

什么是“父辈摇滚？”

        我们不知道你是否清楚什么是“父辈摇滚”。我是说，你可能听说过，可能也没有。总之，根据海外友人帮我们在城市字典（urbandictionary.com）找到的释义，概括下来，“父辈摇滚”是这么一个概念。

       1、你从你的父辈的旧收藏里，在生命里首次听到的摇滚乐。

       2、那些老小孩们所钟爱的，曾经风靡一时的音乐。老小孩们总是想让年轻人们去听他们所制作的“史上最棒专辑”歌单。 “父辈摇滚”爱好者们通常没有什么兴趣去听当下的流行音乐，并总是囿于从前。

       3、一般是曾经十分流行，然而因为一些原因并没能继续流行下去的摇滚乐。

      ……

      然而，我们都听说过“时尚是一场轮回”这个说法。无论音乐风格是新是旧，只要是你第一次听到这种风格的音乐，那么对你来说，便是全新的。

What Is Dad Rock?

We wonder if you know what’s the meaning of “dad rock”. You might have heard about it before, maybe not. Anyways, according to our friend abroad has found at Urban Dictionary (urbandictionary.com), this is what we have summed out about this concept:

1. Classic rock you first heard from your dad’s old record collection.

2. The standard set of albums that every boomer likes. Boomers try to get younguns to listen to dad rock by loading up “best albums ever”lists with them. Dad rockers have no desire to listen to recent music and are stuck in the past.

3. Music can be counted as 'dad rock' if it is music that has failed to remain popular with younger generations.

Well, we’ve all heard about “fashion is the reincarnation of the game field”. New style or old style, if it’s your first time ever has listened about it, then it suppose to be called as a new style for you.

       “老爹”系列演出原计划是每一季度举办一次，然而由于众所周知的原因，停办了有一段时间了。

       4月7日，我们的“老爹”重新上路，整装出发，来到了苏州。他那双布满岁月痕迹的尖头皮鞋铿锵有力地踩上了苏州的青砖地。“老爹”找来了三支乐队，来向你用现场来更完整地诠释什么是父辈摇滚。你将可以使用你自己的耳朵来听到它是多么地暴躁又温柔，使用你自己的眼睛来看到它是多么地疯狂且浪漫，并且使用你自己的身体来感受到它是多么地热烈。“老爹”怕你光是跟着乐队摆动跳舞不够尽兴，甚至为你准备了乐队演出结束之后的After Party，多么贴心的老爹呵！

       别担心，就算它叫父辈摇滚，但是大部分的参演音乐人依然是年轻漂亮的男孩女孩们。无论你信与不信，来看看他们的真面目吧：

       The “Daddy” series show was planned to be seasonal, but for reasons everyone knows, that has been postponed until now.

       On April 7th, our “Daddy” comes back on track. He’ll be dressed to kill in Suzhou, when his old patent-leather shoes will sonorously step on the asphalt-tiled floor of Suzhou. Daddy has found three bands to show you what exactly “Dad Rock” is, not just by reading the info online, but now also by listening to how cranky and gentle it is with your own ears, watching how crazy  and romantic it is with your own eyes, and feeling how hot the atmosphere it is by your own body. It will start at 8:00 pm and last until late. Daddy even prepared a little after-party after that, just in case you haven't enjoyed yourself to the fullest. How nice and thoughtful that is!

       Don't worry, even if it's called Dad Rock, most of the musicians who are playing it are young and hot boys and girls. Believe it or not, check out how they look with your own eyes:

死不悔改乐队，是一支来自于江苏的 Oi Punk / Old School Punk 乐队，基于 Skinhead / 看台文化。乐队成军于2019年3月，我们热爱生活，拥有我们自己的态度，充满着强劲的力量。Skinhead , a way of life！

Never Regret, an Oi Punk / Old School Punk band from Jiangsu, based on Skinhead / football terrace culture. The band is found at the March of 2019, we love life, have our own attitude, have full of forceful strength. Skinhead , a way of life！

Right, Daddy is going to lead you into the Acid Room, and then use Blue Liquid to let you understand what’s it like to Never Regret. If you don’t have time to get dressed up, then just put on your daily clothes in the darkness—— no one will laugh at your mediocrity. Or, you can choose to go with due appreciation for the full sense of ritual: put on your most satisfying outfit, come to this ball, and meet Daddy.
